‘We had great pleasure in presenting (virtually of course!) Molly Brough of Oxford Swans SC with a certificate of distinguished service as a token of our thanks for all that she has done for her local Halliwick club over many years.

Whilst just a token of appreciation, we know that that appreciation is not only from us in Halliwick AST, but also from all at Oxford Swans SC. Molly and people like her make clubs what they are, ensuring that disabled people can enjoy activity and freedom in the water which they would not otherwise be able to.

Thank you, Molly, from everyone!’ You can read all about it on their website here:

Molly is a founder-member of Oxford Swans SC and continues to support the club. Since its beginnings, Molly has done an enormous amount for the club, which continues to thrive and grow. Molly still supports the club to this day.

Oxford Swans Sessions and Coronavirus (Covid-19)

As a club, our priority is always for the safety and wellbeing of all our members.

Given the updated government advice outlined in the Prime Minister’s statement on Monday 16th March and with the restrictions on everyone’s lives, it is with regret, and sadness, that we have taken the difficult decision to cancel our weekly swimming sessions at both the Leys and Ferry pools until further notice.

We realise that this will cause disappointment and sadness to many club members, swimmers and helpers alike. We have not reached this decision lightly, but we feel it is really our only option as things stand, and to continue club sessions in the current environment would be irresponsible.

Your membership of the club will not be affected by the cancellation of our club sessions.

We will of course keep the situation under review and, if the situation changes, we will contact everyone again. To be clear, we are not closing the club permanently but rather, postponing club sessions until the current situation becomes clearer and more stable.  We will recommence our sessions just as soon as we can.

If you are worried about Coronavirus, please seek the latest official guidance from the NHS website.

Oxford Swans is a swimming club for disabled people of all ages. We are a friendly and supportive club. We do a lot of one-to-one work and group activity in the water.

At present, owing to a shortage of volunteer helpers, Oxford Swans cannot take any new swimmers, and so we now have a waiting list. Please contact us to be added to the waiting list and we will contact you as soon as you can start attending sessions.
