Oxford Swans is a swimming club for disabled people of all ages. We are a friendly and supportive club. We do a lot of one-to-one work and group activity in the water.
We are looking for more helpers at our sessions. If you would like to join us as a Helper, please read our page on volunteering to learn more about this wonderful opportunity and what is involved.
SWIMMING SESSIONS
Saturdays 10am-12pm at:
Ferry Leisure Centre
Diamond Place
Summertown
Oxford OX2 7DP
Tuesdays 6pm-7pm at:
Leys Pool and Leisure Centre
Pegasus Rd
Oxford OX4 6JL
Please note that, we continue to be short of volunteer helpers, in particular to support our Tuesday evening sessions.
Wherever possible, each swimmer should come with a family member or care-worker who would be able to go in the water with them, as we cannot always provide enough helpers in the water.
There may be helpers on the poolside to give verbal advice to family members or care-workers.
This need to be accompanied, by a family member or care-worker, does not apply to independent swimmers (i.e. those who have gained their Green Badge or are working at Green Badge standard) unless he/she needs help to remain socially distanced.
